NAS PR UNIT TRAINS REGIONAL PROs The Public Relations Unit of the National Ambulance Service (NAS) has organized a two day orientation program for its 16 regional Public Relations Officers across the country. The virtual program, which was held on March 19 and 20, 2025, with all Regional PROs and Regional Administrative Managers joining online, was to train the officers in speech writing, journalistic writing, public speaking, interview skills and basic photography. Opening the program, the Chief Executive Officer for the Service, Prof. Ahmed Nuhu Zakariah advised all the Regional PROs to take the program seriously in order to sharpen them for their tasks and not to just sign in and disappear. NAS STAFF TRAINED ON MATERNAL EMERGENCIES IN VOLTA REGION


The staff of Peki and Juapong Ambulance stations in the Volta region have been trained in maternal emergencies to help strengthen the emergency care delivery in the area.The training is an initiative by the Peki government hospital and the aim is to help reduce maternal mortality in the area. The facilitators for the training were experience midwives from the Peki government hospital.he personnel were taken through topics like ECLAMPSIA, PRE-ECLAMPSIA and other MATERNAL EMERGENCIES. The engagement also serves as a medium for fostering the existing collaboration between National Ambulance Service and the Ghana Health Services in providing healthcare for the people of Ghana. NAS VISIT NEW VOLTA REGIONAL MINISTER


The Volta Regional branch of the National Ambulance Service (NAS) has paid a courtesy call on the new Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, to congratulate him on his assumption of office. Leading the NAS team, SAEMT Bright Manu also briefed the Minister on the state of the Service in the region. He took the opportunity to appeal for more ambulances, highlighting specific areas in need of additional fleet, including Akanu, Shia, Nyive, and Ho Airport. Chief Director Augustus Awity pledged support for securing an oxygen plant, while Hon. Gunu assured them that he would prioritize this issue alongside other concerns raised by the NAS leadership in the region.
