National Ambulance Service delivers practical emergency response training to promote workplace safety On April 28, 2025, the Ashanti Regional Administrative Manager of the National Ambulance Service (NAS), PAEMT Sommik Duut Miilon, led a comprehensive first aid training session for employees of Guinness Ghana PLC as part of the company’s observance of World Day for Health and Safety at Work.

The training focused on critical areas of emergency response, including the management of falls, bleeding control, and the administration of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Employees participated actively in practical demonstrations and scenario-based discussions, gaining essential skills to respond confidently and effectively in emergency situations. Mrs. Bernice Osei-Bonsu, Head of Health and Safety at Guinness Ghana PLC, expressed appreciation to the National Ambulance Service for their collaboration. She noted that the training session not only enhanced staff readiness but also reinforced the company’s ongoing commitment to prioritizing employee health and safety.

This initiative forms part of Guinness Ghana’s broader workplace safety strategy, which emphasizes proactive training and preparedness to foster a secure and supportive working environment.
