National Ambulance Service ( NAS ) to begin operations at Juapong in the North Tongu District in the Volta Region. This follows the commissioning of an ambulance station constructed by Chief of Juapoong, Togbe Ahadzi Gboti lll , the traditional council and some benevolent individuals in the Volta region.The station was commissioned over the week by the Volta Regional Administrator, SAEMT Kingsley Bright Manu on behalf of Prof Ahmed Nuhu Zakariah, Chief Executive Officer of NAS.The ambulance station will serve four(4) communities within the area covering Fodjoko, Dorfor, Volo and Torgorme.

The Regional Administrator used the opportunity to educate the community on the operations of an ambulance , as a tool for saving lives and not for the carriage of dead bodies. The leadership of the community were grateful for the presence of the service in the area to serve as the first response to all emergency situations within the area.
