The National Ambulance Service (NAS) has provided a Premier Emergency Medical Services at the 57th African Development Bank annual conference which was held in the capital of Ghana, Accra.
The Greater Accra Regional Command of NAS were on standby to provide Emergency Medical Service at the conference.
In all twenty (20) Ambulances with a crew member of Sixty(60) emergency medical personnel were deployed for the conference.
The 4 days’ event which was held at International Conference Centre in Accra, hosted by the President of the Republic of Ghana His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo,the vice president Dr.Alhaji Bawumia,the President of Mozambique His Excellency Filipe
Jucinto Nyusiwasals and many other dignitaries.
The president of the African Development Bank(AFDB) DR. Akinwumi A. Adesina with all 54 governors representing the regional members
and 27 non-regional member countries were present at the conference.
Diplomats from many business communities within and across the continent were also present to take part in the conference.
This year's theme for the conference was ,Achieving Climate Resilience and Just Energy Transition for Africa.
The meeting offers the Governors an opportunity to share ideas on climate change and energy transition challenges that their countries face and also showcase policies to deal with these challenges.
This year’s meeting marks a return to in-person sessions following virtual meetings over the last two years due to the covid19 pandemic.
