Amenfi East has taken a significant step toward strengthening emergency healthcare delivery with the donation of a fully equipped ambulance to the National Ambulance Service.
The initiative, spearheaded by Mr. Abraham Afful- Director of DJ Group of Companies and facilitated by Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah- MCE for Amenfi East, reflects a strong commitment to improving pre-hospital care within the municipality and beyond.
The ceremony was graced by Tetrete Okuamoah Sekyim II, who emphasized the importance of strengthening all components of the emergency response system, highlighting the critical role of the National Ambulance Service.
Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah reiterated his dedication to impactful leadership, noting that supporting the acquisition of the ambulance aligns with his vision of leaving a lasting legacy of development and care.
Representing the National Ambulance Service, Ag. Deputy CEO Dr. Patrick Inkoom-Colbelson, Deputy Director- Public Relations Mr. Simmons Yussif Kewura, together with the Western Regional Administrative Manager- DCAEMT Frank Manu and other officials, received the donation on behalf of the Service.
In his remarks, Dr. Inkoom-Colbelson underscored the impact of the gesture, stating that the ambulance will significantly enhance emergency response and save lives across Amenfi East and surrounding communities. He further encouraged individuals and organizations to emulate such acts of generosity.
Delivering the vote of thanks, AEMT Abeiku Acheampong, OIC of Amenfi East Ambulance Station, described the donation as a timely and life-saving intervention that will ensure faster response to emergencies.
