On Saturday, 11th April 2026, Osu came alive with purpose, impact, and life-saving action as the Ghana Health & Humanitarian Mission unfolded at Osu Dadebu Park.
From the early hours of the morning, over 100 community members gathered for a powerful blend of health screening and emergency response training, all aimed at strengthening grassroots healthcare and preparedness.
In Zone A, the Stroke Smart Champions initiative provided free health screenings—covering blood pressure, blood sugar, BMI, nutrition, and family health—while also educating participants on the critical BEFAST signs for stroke recognition. The energy was palpable as individuals took proactive steps toward healthier living.
Meanwhile, Zone B buzzed with activity as taxi and okada riders underwent intensive Community Emergency Response Assistants (CERA) training under the Riders for Life programme. Participants were equipped with essential skills including:
- Stroke recognition (BEFAST)
- Scene safety and bleeding control
- Safe patient transport techniques
Effective coordination with the National Ambulance Service (Call 112)
The official launch ceremony brought together dignitaries, media, and community leaders, with strong representation from the Impact World 360 Foundation and the Osu Traditional Council, whose support was instrumental in hosting this impactful mission.
This mission was more than an event—it was a movement. A reminder that when communities are equipped with knowledge and skills, lives can be saved even before emergency services arrive.
Stronger communities. Faster response. Better outcomes.
