Ho Central Ambulance Station Receives Boost as MP Donates Essential Office Equipment

The Ho Central Ambulance Station in the Volta Region has received a significant boost following the donation of essential office equipment and supplies by the Member of Parliament for Ho Central Constituency, Hon. Richmond Edem Kpotosu. The donation, presented on Monday, 31 August 2026, forms part of efforts to enhance operational efficiency and improve working conditions for emergency medical personnel serving the constituency. Items donated included a desktop computer, a Canon 3-in-1 multifunction printer, a refrigerator, foldable chairs and student mattresses. The equipment is expected to strengthen administrative operations, improve dispatch documentation and provide added comfort for personnel, particularly during night shifts and standby duties. The support follows lobbying efforts by the Officer In-Charge of the Ho Central Ambulance Station, Principal Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (PAEMT) Henry Horlali Mawugbe, who identified the need for the equipment to improve the station’s day-to-day operations. Receiving the items on behalf of the National Ambulance Service (NAS), PAEMT Mawugbe expressed appreciation to the MP for responding positively to the station’s needs. He noted that the donation would contribute significantly to the delivery of efficient emergency medical services within Ho Central and its surrounding communities. He further appealed to Hon. Kpotosu to support efforts toward securing a permanent facility for the station. According to him, the Ho Central Ambulance Station has operated from temporary accommodation at the Regional Fire Service Headquarters since the establishment of the National Ambulance Service over two decades ago. He stressed the need for a dedicated office complex to meet the growing demands of emergency medical response in the municipality. Hon. Kpotosu commended the ambulance personnel for their commitment and sacrifices in providing life-saving services to residents of Ho Central and beyond. He assured the team of his continued support towards improving emergency health infrastructure and strengthening emergency response delivery within the constituency.
