The Board Chairman of the National Ambulance Service (NAS), Nana Baffour Kotei Kutin Sraman II, has paid a working visit to the Volta Region aimed at strengthening emergency medical service delivery, assessing operational readiness, and engaging personnel on issues affecting service delivery.
During the visit on Friday, 14 August 2026, the Board Chairman toured the Volta Regional Administration and the Regional Dispatch Centre to evaluate operations and interact with staff. He also visited the Ho Central Ambulance Station and inspected the newly constructed Regional Administration building in Ho to assess ongoing infrastructural developments within the Service.
The visit provided an opportunity for the Board Chair to engage Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and regional management on key operational challenges and opportunities for improving emergency response services across the region.
Regional leadership expressed appreciation for the Board Chairman’s visit, describing it as a significant morale booster for staff and a demonstration of the Board’s commitment to supporting personnel at the operational level. They noted that the engagement allowed for productive discussions on improving ambulance turnaround times, strengthening resource allocation, and enhancing emergency response capacity across the region.
The working visit forms part of ongoing efforts by the Board and Management of the National Ambulance Service to strengthen collaboration with regional teams, improve infrastructure, and ensure the delivery of efficient and responsive pre-hospital emergency care services throughout the country.
