As part of his ongoing operational tour of the Northern Region, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Ambulance Service, Dr. (Med) George Kojo Owusu, paid a working visit to the Nanton District Assembly to strengthen collaboration and discuss support for emergency medical service delivery within the district.
The NAS delegation met with the District Chief Executive, Hon. Rosalina Zenaib Abdul-Rahaman, at her office. The DCE warmly welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to supporting emergency healthcare delivery despite the Assembly’s current funding challenges.
During the engagement, Hon. Rosalina Zenaib Abdul-Rahaman raised concerns regarding communication and emergency response coordination, emphasizing the need for improved collaboration and public communication in emergency response management.
Dr. Owusu expressed appreciation for the warm reception and appealed to the Assembly to support the National Ambulance Service with office accommodation for the Nanton Ambulance Station.
In response, the DCE assured Management of the Assembly’s commitment to supporting the Service and indicated that despite financial constraints, efforts would be made to secure suitable office accommodation for the station.
The NAS CEO later visited the Nanton Ambulance Station, where he engaged with the Station Manager and staff. He commended personnel for their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to delivering timely emergency medical services to the people of the district.
