Staff of the National Ambulance Service (NAS) Headquarters are currently undergoing training on the Ghana Electronic Procurement System (GHANEPS) as part of efforts to strengthen transparency, efficiency and best practices in public procurement.
The training, facilitated by a team from the Public Procurement Authority (PPA), is being held at the NAS Headquarters Conference Room in Accra and is aimed at equipping staff with the knowledge and skills required to effectively navigate the digital procurement platform.
Speaking on behalf of the Chief Executive Officer of NAS, Dr. (Med) George Kojo Owusu, the Deputy Director of Procurement, Alhaji Seidu Sanunu, urged participants to take full advantage of the programme. He noted that the training provides critical guidance on digitised procurement processes that will help streamline procurement activities within the Service.
He further highlighted that the adoption of GHANEPS promotes greater transparency, accountability and efficiency in procurement management, ultimately enhancing service delivery.
Through continuous capacity-building initiatives such as this, the National Ambulance Service remains committed to strengthening institutional governance and ensuring the prudent management of resources in support of its lifesaving mandate.
