The National Ambulance Service (NAS), Ashanti Region, successfully provided emergency medical cover during the New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Conference and Election held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
To ensure the safety and well-being of participants, NAS deployed five ambulances and more than thirty Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) who remained on standby throughout the programme, ready to respond swiftly to any medical emergency.
During the event, eight persons were assessed, stabilised and safely transported to the Kumasi South Hospital for further medical care. Several others who required medical attention were treated on-site by NAS personnel and discharged without the need for referral.
The emergency cover remained in place until the successful conclusion of the programme yesterday, after which the EMTs returned to their respective stations.
This deployment underscores the National Ambulance Service’s unwavering commitment to delivering timely emergency care, safeguarding lives, and supporting the smooth organisation of major events.
