The National Ambulance Service (NAS) yesterday reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the Nation by providing comprehensive emergency medical coverage during Ghana's National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving, held under the distinguished patronage of H.E. John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana.
The historic national event, held under the theme 'Resetting Our Values to Build the Ghana We Want,' brought together thousands of Ghanaians from different faiths to offer prayers and thanksgiving for the peace, unity, and prosperity of the nation. The Christian service was held at the Forecourt of the State House, while the Muslim service took place at the National Mosque Complex in Kanda.
The programme was graced by several high-profile dignitaries, including H.E. Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, Vice President of the Republic of Ghana; Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, Speaker of Parliament; Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, Acting Chief Justice; Mrs. Lordina Mahama, First Lady; ministers of state, members of parliament, members of the diplomatic corps, traditional authorities, senior security officials, and prominent Christian and Muslim leaders.
The Chief Executive Officer of the National Ambulance Service, Dr. (Med) George Kojo Owusu also attended the event, demonstrating the Service's commitment to supporting national programmes while ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.
Throughout the event, National Ambulance Service personnel were strategically positioned with fully equipped ambulances and emergency medical teams to provide immediate response to any medical emergencies. The proactive deployment ensured that worshipers, invited guests, and dignitaries participated in the programme with confidence, knowing that emergency medical services were readily available.
