On Friday, 3rd October 2025, a delegation from the National Ambulance Service (NAS) led by the Acting Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Patrick Inkoom-Colbelson, paid a courtesy visit to the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO). The engagement formed part of NAS management’s ongoing efforts to strengthen inter-agency collaboration among national emergency response institutions.
The meeting focused on key areas including coordinated emergency response, joint training and simulation exercises, and the development of a unified national emergency response framework.
The NAS delegation was warmly received by the Director-General of NADMO, Maj (Rtd) Dr. Joseph Bikanyi Kuyon, and his management team.
During the meeting, both parties discussed:
• Establishing a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to guide joint operations.
• Integrating communication systems for real-time information sharing during emergencies.
• Conducting joint training and simulation exercises to improve interoperability.
• Creating joint Emergency Operations Centres (EOCs) at the regional level.
• Enhancing resource sharing during large-scale disaster responses.
Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to deepening collaboration to ensure a more coordinated, efficient, and effective national emergency management system.
Together, NAS and NADMO aim to build a stronger and more resilient Ghana, ready to respond to any emergency.
