The National Ambulance Service (NAS), Greater Accra Regional Command, mounted a rapid emergency response to a fire outbreak that occurred on Tuesday, 9th September, 2025, in the Laterbiokorshie enclave near the Salvation Army School.
Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) from the Kaneshie, Mamprobi, and Laterbiokorshie Ambulance Stations were quickly dispatched to the scene. The teams provided evacuation, triage, and safe transportation of casualties, with several victims successfully conveyed to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for advanced medical care.
The swift intervention by NAS underscored the dedication, bravery, and professionalism of EMTs in responding to emergencies under challenging circumstances. Beyond immediate medical support, NAS teams remain on standby to assist other emergency agencies engaged in ongoing search and rescue operations.
In commending the frontline EMTs, the Greater Accra Regional Administration of NAS emphasized that the Service’s core commitment remains the protection of lives and the provision of timely pre-hospital emergency care to citizens in distress.
