As part of efforts to strengthen operations and improve staff welfare, the Deputy Director of Public Relations of the National Ambulance Service (NAS), Mr. Simmons Yussif Kewura, embarked on a three-day inspection tour of selected ambulance stations in the Ashanti Region from 10th – 12th September 2025.
The inspection covered the Abofour, Suame, and Kodie Ambulance Stations, where operational conditions and challenges were thoroughly assessed.
Stakeholder Engagement
As part of the tour, a courtesy call was paid on the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Afigya Kwabre South, who acknowledged the challenges faced by NAS and other agencies in the municipality. The MCE assured the team of the Assembly’s readiness to renovate an old court building at Kodie to serve as office accommodation for NAS and the Ghana Immigration Service.
The National Ambulance Service remains committed to working with local authorities and stakeholders to provide an enabling environment for Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and to enhance the Service’s capacity to save lives.
