As part of activities marking this year’s Kiddie Fest, personnel from the Sogakope and Akatsi Ambulance Stations on Wednesday, 1st October 2025, joined pupils from several schools in the Akatsi South District for a colourful float and educational outreach.
Participating schools included Kinship Academy, Torve Primary, Akatsi RC Primary, Drakate Primary, ARS Primary, Agbedrafor Primary, Duawodome Primary, and Wlutey Primary. The event, held under the theme “Nurturing Young Minds – The Role of Igniting Potentials Through Education,” sought to inspire and empower pupils through learning and civic engagement.
Following the float, NAS personnel engaged pupils, teachers, and staff of the Ghana Education Service (GES) Directorate in an interactive session on the operations of the Service. Participants were introduced to the equipment onboard the ambulance, their uses, and the vital role NAS plays in pre-hospital emergency care.
The National Ambulance Service remains committed to community engagement and public education initiatives that promote safety awareness and strengthen understanding of the essential role of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) in saving lives.
