The National Ambulance Service (NAS) fully participated in rescue operations, following the collapse of a building at Avenor in Accra on Sunday, June 7, 2026.
Immediately after receiving reports of the incident, emergency medical teams from the Greater Accra Region were deployed to the scene to provide life-saving pre-hospital care and support rescue efforts. NAS personnel worked closely with the Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Police Service, NADMO, and other emergency response agencies to ensure the swift evacuation and treatment of affected persons.
The operation required a high level of coordination, professionalism, and dedication as responders continued to navigate challenging conditions in the search for victims trapped beneath the rubble.
Two casualties were stabilized by NAS emergency medical teams and transported to Ridge Hospital for further medical management.
The National Ambulance Service commends all emergency responders for their courage, commitment, and teamwork during this critical operation. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families, and we wish those injured a full and speedy recovery.
As Ghana’s leading provider of pre-hospital emergency care, NAS remains committed to delivering timely, professional, and quality emergency medical services while supporting national disaster response efforts to safeguard lives.
