In a powerful show of unity, compassion, and respect, Management and staff of the National Ambulance Service (NAS) joined the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. (Med) George Kojo Owusu, and his family at Nkroful Nkwanta in the Western Region on Saturday, 21st March 2026, to mourn the passing of his father, the late Mr. Joseph Harvey Eshun.
The solemn gathering, held in Takoradi, brought together a large delegation from across the country, reflecting the strong bond within the Service. Leading the delegation was the Board Chairman of NAS, Nana Baffour Kotei Kutin Sraman II, Bremanhene.
He was accompanied by the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Patrick Inkoom-Cobelson, alongside Directors, Deputy Directors, Unit Heads, Headquarters staff, Regional Administrative Managers, Station Managers, and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) from various regions.
The presence of such a diverse and committed team underscored the unwavering support of the National Ambulance Service for their CEO during this difficult time. It was not only a moment of mourning, but also one of deep solidarity, as colleagues stood firmly with Dr. Owusu and his family.
The overwhelming turnout reflected a heartfelt expression of love, respect, and unity—demonstrating that beyond their professional duties, members of the Service remain a closely-knit family.
As they paid their final respects to the late Mr. Joseph Harvey Eshun, the gathering reaffirmed the core values of empathy, togetherness, and unwavering support that define the National Ambulance Service.
