National Ambulance Service Provides Emergency Support for Manhyia “Dote Yie” Activities

The National Ambulance Service (NAS) played a critical role in providing emergency medical coverage during the Manhyia “Dote Yie” activities, held from Monday, 15th September to Thursday, 18th September 2025, in and around the Manhyia Palace and Manhyia Hospital premises in Kumasi.

To ensure effective pre-hospital emergency care throughout the four-day event, NAS deployed the following resources:

During the celebrations, a total of 19 patients were safely transported to the Manhyia Hospital and the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for advanced medical care.

In collaboration with the Ghana Health Service (GHS), KATH medical teams, the Red Cross, and other volunteers, five medical posts were strategically stationed around the venue to provide immediate first aid and emergency support to the public.

The seamless teamwork of NAS EMTs and health partners ensured that timely care and safe medical response were delivered, contributing to the overall success and safety of the “Dote Yie” celebrations.
