The National Ambulance Service (NAS) has officially commissioned its newest station, AMBU 43, located at NAS headquarters, strategically behind the National Lottery Authority, along the Atta Mills High Street.
This new addition is a powerhouse collaboration between the NAS Headquarters and the Greater Accra Regional Administration, bringing the total number of ambulance stations nationwide to 320.
Speaking at the unveiling, CEO Dr. George Kojo Owusu emphasized that this expansion is all about slashing response times. When every second counts, having a dedicated team nearby saves lives.
Equipped with an Advanced Life Support (ALS) Ambulance, the AMBU 43 crew is ready to respond to emergencies around:
- The Judiciary & Ministries
- National Theatre
- Atta Mills Highway & surrounding areas
DCEMT Daniel Asare, the Greater Accra Regional Administrator, extended a huge thanks to the NAS Board and Management for making this vision a reality.
