The Tarkwa Ambulance Station has received a significant boost towards strengthening emergency medical response in the municipality, following a financial donation aimed at repairing its ambulance and improving operational readiness.
The support, made on behalf of the Member of Parliament for Tarkwa, Hon. Issah Salifu Taylor, was delivered by his aid, Mr. Abdul Aziz during a brief presentation ceremony held at the MP’s office. The National Ambulance Service delegation, made up of PEMT Clinton Yaw Asiedu and PEMT Farouk Mohammed, officially received the donation on behalf of the Service.
An amount of GH₵50,000.00 was presented to support the fixing of the Tarkwa Ambulance. The intervention is expected to enhance the reliability, safety, and operational efficiency of the ambulance serving Tarkwa and its surrounding communities.
The gesture highlights the growing recognition of emergency medical services as an essential pillar of healthcare delivery and community safety. For frontline responders who operate under demanding conditions and resource constraints, such support represents not only relief but also renewed confidence in the lifesaving mission of the National Ambulance Service.
The National Ambulance Service expressed appreciation to Hon. Issah Salifu Taylor and his team for the intervention and noted that collaborative support from public officials, institutions, and stakeholders remains crucial in strengthening pre-hospital emergency care delivery across the country.
The people of Tarkwa stand to benefit immensely through improved emergency response capacity, safer patient transportation, and enhanced access to timely pre-hospital care.
As repair works commence, the Service remains committed to ensuring accountability, proper maintenance, and effective utilization of the resources provided in order to deliver sustained impact for the municipality.
