DCEO Engages Berekum West and Jaman South Authorities on Ambulance Service Operations

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO) of the National Ambulance Service (NAS), Dr. Patrick Inkoom-Colbelson, has held productive discussions with the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Berekum West, Mr. Asoma Collins and the District Coordinating Director of Jaman South as part of his working tour of the Bono Region.
The meetings focused on strengthening collaboration between the National Ambulance Service and the respective district administrations, particularly in the areas of office accommodation for ambulance personnel and the maintenance of ambulances serving the districts.
During the engagement at Berekum West, Dr. Inkoom-Colbelson highlighted the need for a conducive working environment to enable ambulance staff to effectively deliver emergency medical services to residents. He also stressed the importance of maintaining ambulances in good condition to ensure prompt response to emergencies.
Responding to the concerns raised, Hon. Asoma Collins assured the DCEO of the district's commitment to supporting the National Ambulance Service. He pledged the Assembly's readiness to secure a befitting office accommodation for the Service to enhance its operations within the district.
At Jaman South, the District Coordinating Director also expressed the Assembly's preparedness to support the National Ambulance Service in addressing some of its operational challenges. He reaffirmed the district's commitment to collaborating with the Service to improve emergency healthcare delivery for the people of the area.
Dr. Inkoom-Colbelson expressed appreciation to the district authorities for their willingness to support the Service and emphasized that strong partnerships with local assemblies remain crucial in strengthening pre-hospital emergency care across the country.
The engagements formed part of the DCEO's regional monitoring and stakeholder engagement tour aimed at assessing operational challenges and mobilizing support for the continued growth and effectiveness of the National Ambulance Service.
