Leadership remains the cornerstone of effective emergency medical service delivery.
As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership, collaboration and operational excellence across the Greater Accra Region, the National Ambulance Service (NAS) convened a Station Managers Meeting on 10th September 2026 at the Ayawaso Central Municipal Assembly in Kotobabi.
The meeting brought together Station Managers from across the Region alongside members of the Greater Accra Regional Administration to deliberate on key issues aimed at enhancing coordination, improving service delivery and fostering a stronger sense of collective responsibility within the Service.
Addressing participants, the Greater Accra Regional Administrative Manager, DCAEMT Daniel Asare, commended Station Managers for their unwavering dedication and commitment to advancing the mission of the National Ambulance Service. He noted that the gathering provided an important platform for reflection, collaboration and strategic discussions geared towards building stronger and more resilient stations across the Region.
Drawing inspiration from the biblical account of Nehemiah, he encouraged participants to recognise existing challenges, embrace teamwork and take collective ownership of efforts to strengthen systems and improve performance.
The meeting was further enriched by the participation of the Deputy Director of Human Resources and Planning, Mrs. Ama Ersiewah Frimpong, who engaged attendees on issues relating to staff development, career progression and opportunities for professional growth within the Service.
Her presentation highlighted the critical role of human resource development in building a motivated, competent and future-ready workforce capable of delivering quality pre-hospital emergency care.
Participants also received updates and contributions from representatives of the Greater Accra Regional Administration, including the Deputy Regional Administrator, Regional Accountant, Quality Assurance and Clinical Audit Unit, Emergency Medical Dispatch Centre and Station Managers.
The meeting reaffirmed the importance of strong leadership, teamwork and shared responsibility in advancing the goals of the National Ambulance Service and enhancing emergency medical service delivery across the Greater Accra Region.
