The National Ambulance Service (NAS) Western North Region actively participated in the two‑day nationwide sanitation exercise, mobilizing staff across all municipalities and districts. Personnel from Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai, Sefwi Wiawso, Aowin, Bia East and West, Akontombra, Bodi, Juaboso, and Suaman joined the campaign, demonstrating strong commitment to public health and environmental cleanliness.
Staff members engaged in practical activities including desilting choked drains to restore water flow, clearing sand, weeds, and debris from roads, cleaning markets, lorry parks, and public spaces, and safely evacuating refuse and silt from drainage systems.
The exercise, marked by enthusiastic participation, reinforced NAS’s role not only in emergency medical response but also in promoting community well‑being. Local residents commended the effort, noting its impact on sanitation and the prevention of health risks associated with poor waste management.
