The National Ambulance Service (NAS), North East Region, has trained Level 100 students of Gambaga College of Education in essential emergency care and life-saving skills.
The training, led by the Regional Manager, Mohammed Issah Baba (DCAEMT), aimed to equip the students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to respond effectively to medical emergencies both on campus and within their future school communities.
Participants received hands-on instruction in Basic Life Support (BLS), including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and choking management, bleeding control techniques, and the recognition and management of shock before the arrival of advanced medical care.
As future educators, the students are expected to play critical roles in safeguarding the health and well-being of learners under their care. The training therefore forms part of the National Ambulance Service’s commitment to building resilient communities by promoting emergency preparedness and life-saving knowledge among the public.
The management and students of Gambaga College of Education expressed their appreciation to the NAS team for the practical and timely training, which has enhanced their confidence and preparedness to respond during emergencies.
