NAS Acting Deputy CEO Engages Assin-Fosu Ambulance Station on Operational Challenges

The Acting Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the National Ambulance Service (NAS), Dr. Patrick Inkoom-Colbelson, has undertaken a working visit to the Assin-Fosu Ambulance Station in the Central Region. He was accompanied by the Central Regional Administrator, Mr. Francis Ohemeng, and the Southern Zone Clinical Auditor, Mr. Martin Awuah Amoah.

The delegation was warmly received by the station officers, who shared updates on their activities and operational challenges. In his remarks, Dr. Inkoom-Colbelson commended the personnel for their unwavering dedication to saving lives under sometimes difficult conditions. He encouraged them to continue demonstrating professionalism and to make the most of available resources to ensure the delivery of high-quality emergency medical services to the community.

During the engagement, two pressing issues were highlighted:

Dr. Inkoom-Colbelson addressed both concerns, assuring the officers of the Service’s readiness to intervene. He provided direction on the land tenancy matter and further requested a detailed technical report on the faulty ambulance to facilitate prompt repairs and restoration of service.

The visit underscored NAS leadership’s commitment to strengthening stations across the country by not only monitoring service delivery but also directly addressing challenges that hinder effective operations. The Service remains dedicated to supporting its frontline staff and ensuring that all stations are adequately resourced to provide timely, professional, and lifesaving emergency care.
