The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Ambulance Service (NAS), Dr. George Kojo Owusu, over the weekend joined families and loved ones in the Ashanti Region to mourn and pay his last respects to departed relatives of key stakeholders and members of the Service.
The CEO first attended the funeral of the late sister of the Chairman of the Governing Board of the National Ambulance Service, Nana Baffuor Kotei Kutin Sraman II Bremahene, in Kumasi. Dr. Owusu conveyed the condolences of Management and staff of the Service to the bereaved family and prayed for strength and comfort for them during this difficult period.
As part of his engagements in the region, Dr. Owusu also travelled to Ahenkro, where he attended the funeral of a staff member of the National Ambulance Service. He expressed the Service's appreciation for the dedication and commitment exhibited by the late staff member during his years of service and assured the family of NAS's continued support.
The NAS CEO later joined family, friends, and sympathisers at the funeral of the father-in-law of the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), Mr. Sammy Gyamfi Esq. Dr. Owusu extended his heartfelt condolences to Mr. Gyamfi and the entire bereaved family, praying for the peaceful repose of the deceased.
Throughout the engagements, Dr. Owusu underscored the importance of standing with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders during moments of grief, emphasizing that compassion and solidarity remain fundamental values of the National Ambulance Service.
Accompanying the CEO were the Director of Finance, Mr. Victor Nee Kwofie; Deputy Director of Public Relations, Mr. Simmons Yussif Kewura; Deputy Director of Administration, Mrs. Elizabeth Tetteh; and the Ashanti Regional Administrator of the National Ambulance Service, DCAEMT Somink Duut.
The visits formed part of the Service's commitment to supporting members of the NAS family and its stakeholders during periods of bereavement and loss.
