As part of his one-day operational visit to the Upper East Region, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Ambulance Service, Dr. (Med) George Kojo Owusu, paid a courtesy call on the Medical Director of the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital, Dr. Joseph Kojo Tambil, as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration with key healthcare stakeholders in the region.
The engagement focused on issues of mutual health interest, particularly improving coordination between the National Ambulance Service and referral health facilities to enhance emergency healthcare delivery and patient outcomes within the region.
During discussions, concerns regarding oxygen supply and related operational challenges affecting emergency response and patient management were raised. Both institutions acknowledged the importance of addressing the challenge urgently and agreed to work collaboratively towards finding sustainable solutions to improve service delivery.
Dr. Owusu emphasized the importance of stronger institutional partnerships in advancing pre-hospital emergency care, while reaffirming Management’s commitment to deepening collaboration with healthcare facilities across the country.
The meeting further highlighted the shared commitment of both the National Ambulance Service and the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital towards improving emergency response systems and ensuring quality healthcare delivery for the people of the Upper East Region.
