NAS COMMISSIONS KASAPREKO AMBULANCE STATION TO BOOST EMERGENCY RESPONSE ALONG SPINTEX CORRIDOR
The National Ambulance Service (NAS), in collaboration with Kasapreko PLC, has commissioned a new ambulance station to enhance emergency medical response within the Spintex corridor and surrounding communities.
The newly established Kasapreko Ambulance Station (Ambu 42) is strategically located at Royal Crown Packaging Limited, a sister company of Kasapreko, approximately 600 metres from the Kasapreko premises. The facility is expected to significantly improve emergency response times and strengthen pre-hospital care delivery within the area.
The NAS delegation was led by the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Service, Dr. Patrick Inkoom-Colbelson. Upon arrival, the team was warmly received by Head of Safety, Esi Defor, and Head of Human Resources, Solomon Bonah, both representing Kasapreko PLC.
The establishment of the station highlights the importance of public–private collaboration in strengthening Ghana’s emergency medical response system. While situated close to the Kasapreko industrial enclave, the Kasapreko Ambulance Station will serve not only the company but also residents and road users within Baatsona, Spintex, and surrounding catchment communities.
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts by the National Ambulance Service to expand access to life-saving pre-hospital emergency care across the country while fostering strategic partnerships with corporate institutions committed to supporting national health and safety priorities.
The commissioning of Ambu 42 marks another significant step toward improving emergency preparedness and ensuring that timely medical assistance is readily available when it matters most.
