The National Ambulance Service (NAS) provided comprehensive medical coverage at the official launch of the Free Primary Health Care programme held yesterday at Dodowa.
The event, which attracted a large number of participants, was graced by the President of the Republic, H.E John Dramani Mahama, who officially launched the initiative aimed at improving access to primary healthcare services across the country.
The presence of NAS at the event was led by its Chief Executive Officer, Dr. (Med) George Kojo Owusu, who supervised the deployment of emergency response teams to ensure the safety and well-being of all attendees.
Also present at the event were the Minister for Health, Hon. Minta Akandoh, and his deputy, Hon. Grace Ayensu-Danquah, underscoring the government’s commitment to strengthening the healthcare delivery system.
NAS personnel were strategically positioned throughout the venue, with ambulances and emergency medical technicians on standby to respond promptly to any medical emergencies.
The successful medical coverage provided by the Service highlights its critical role in supporting national events and safeguarding public health, particularly during large-scale gatherings.
