National Ambulance Service Concludes Bono Regional Monitoring Tour

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of NAS, Dr. Patrick Inkoom-Colbelson, has successfully concluded his monitoring and familiarisation tour of ambulance stations in the Bono Region, ending the exercise at the Bono Regional Secretariat in Sunyani.
The final day of the tour saw Dr. Inkoom-Colbelson and his delegation visit the Drobo Ambulance Station in the Jaman South Municipality, where he interacted with Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and commended them for their commitment to providing pre-hospital emergency care services to the people within the municipality and adjoining communities.
The Deputy CEO also met with the leadership and staff of the Jaman North Ambulance Station at Sampa, where he assessed operational activities and discussed challenges confronting the station. He encouraged the personnel to remain professional and dedicated to their duties while assuring them of management's commitment to improving working conditions and service delivery.
The team subsequently proceeded to the Jinijini Ambulance Station in the Berekum West District, where Dr. Inkoom-Colbelson inspected the facility and interacted with staff. He reiterated the importance of teamwork, discipline, and adherence to operational protocols in ensuring quality emergency medical services.
The tour concluded in Sunyani, where the Deputy CEO met personnel from a cluster of stations comprising the Sunyani East Ambulance Station, Airport Ambulance Station, and the Advanced Life Support (ALS) Station. During the engagement, Dr. Inkoom-Colbelson expressed appreciation to the EMTs for their sacrifices and dedication to duty, emphasizing the crucial role they play in saving lives across the region.
Addressing the personnel, he underscored the need for continuous professionalism, proper maintenance of ambulances and equipment, and effective collaboration among staff to enhance emergency response services. He further encouraged the teams to uphold the core values of the National Ambulance Service and continue delivering quality pre-hospital care to the public.
The monitoring tour formed part of management's efforts to strengthen operational efficiency, assess the condition of facilities and equipment, and engage frontline personnel to better understand their challenges and needs.
The Deputy CEO was accompanied by Mr. Simmons Yussif Kewura, Deputy Director of Public Relations; DCAEMT Francis Nkebi, Head of Fleet; DCAEMT Alfred Amoah, Bono Regional Administrative Manager; and DCAEMT Eric Mills, Deputy Regional Administrative Manager.
The Bono Regional tour forms part of a broader nationwide engagement strategy aimed at strengthening the operational capacity of the National Ambulance Service and improving emergency medical response across the country.
