As part of activities marking this year’s Career Day celebrations, the Dzolokpuita Ambulance Station of the National Ambulance Service (NAS) on Thursday, June 25, 2026, visited Impact Hub Academy in Dzolokpuita to educate students on careers in emergency medical services and equip them with essential life-saving skills.
The engagement offered students a unique opportunity to learn about the critical role played by Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and paramedics in providing pre-hospital emergency care. The ambulance crew shared insights into the operations of the National Ambulance Service, highlighting the dedication, professionalism, and commitment required to save lives in emergency situations.
Students were also educated on the appropriate use of Ghana’s national emergency toll-free numbers and the importance of promptly activating emergency medical services during critical incidents.
Beyond career guidance, the programme featured a practical first aid training session that enabled students and staff to gain hands-on experience in managing common injuries and responding to medical emergencies before the arrival of professional medical responders. The demonstrations emphasized simple but effective interventions that can help preserve life and prevent complications during emergencies.
Management of Impact Hub Academy expressed appreciation to the Dzolokpuita Ambulance Station for making the Career Day both educational and inspiring. They noted that the interaction not only exposed students to rewarding career opportunities in emergency medical services but also enhanced the school’s preparedness to respond to emergencies.
