The National Ambulance Service (NAS) in the Upper East Region has provided comprehensive first aid training for selected health representatives from Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) schools across the region.
The training, held at Bolgatanga Technical Institute as part of the school’s Health and Safety Workshop, aimed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to respond effectively to medical and traumatic emergencies within their schools.
Participants were taken through both theoretical and practical sessions covering key emergency response areas such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), fracture and wound management, choking management, and electrical shock management.
Programme Coordinator, Madam Clementia Anyaana, commended the NAS team for honouring the invitation and delivering such valuable life-saving training. She also appealed for additional training sessions for more schools in the region.
Leading the training team, PAEMT Azeko Ayorigo assured participants of the National Ambulance Service’s continued commitment to public education and emergency preparedness.
